Pricing Policy

At McCready Sailboats we pride ourselves on our service and we try to sell all our products at a competitive price. However, should you find any item, which is advertised for sale in the United Kingdom at a cheaper price, we will endeavour to match that price subject to not selling below our cost price. This includes special offers from the Laser Centre at Northampton, and Topper International at Ashford, Kent.

Pricing, Vat, Delivery, the Euro, etc.

All our prices are quoted in Stg£, include Vat at the UK rate of 20%, and are for goods collected from our premises in Holywood.

We accept payment by some Debit cards (like Maestro & Delta) or Credit cards (like MasterCard & Visa).  However, since we try and keep our prices as competitive as possible, we will apply a surcharge of 1.5% to goods total (ex VAT) on any transactions over £1000 paid for by Credit card.

We are more than happy to offer a mail order service to those customers of ours who find it difficult to visit us. We can use the post office for small items - for most packages under 2kg.  For packages heavier (or longer than the postal limits - like tiller extensions) than this we currently use Express Freight as they can transport longer items like Laser or Topper spars or rolled sails.  However, all goods by Express Freight must be signed for.  In practice this usually means delivery to a business address.

For our customers in the South of Ireland we regret that, since we are vat registered in the South of Ireland, we will have to charge the Irish vat rate of 23% from 1/1/2012 on items on which we arrange delivery. This is the equivalent of 2.5% extra on prices quoted on this web site.  The extra cost of the Irish vat rate can be avoided either if you collect or if you arrange collection from our shop.

If we are taking a van to an event we will bring any gear to that event carriage free, subject to not overloading the van! To be sure of getting what you need please ask us beforehand to bring the gear you need rather than hoping we remembered it. 
All our prices are quoted and charged in GBP£.   We can accept payment by Euro but the rate may vary from day to day. We generally find that it is more practical to use either a Credit card or a Stg£ bank draft as your local bank will tend to offer a slightly better exchange rate than we can.
